Overall experience: Food: 4/5 The food is quite fresh and delicious, but definitely not the most memorable for such a competitive area. The gnocchi were soft as pillows and delectable, definitely not something you can easily buy at stores, 8/10 dish, albeit, could have more flavor. My family members rated their meals, 8/10, 8.5/10 and 5.3/10. Some dishes were a bit too saucy, others didn't pack much of a flavor profile, but both were delicious. Over half a plate was left over for two family members and no left overs were taken home. Service: 3/5 Cape cod is a seasonal environment, with peak seasons being about 4 months long. It's understandable that staff may be sick, short or new to the field, but the service was lacking. Our family had to hunt down our waiter for refills, the check and to pay. The initial greeting didn't provide any mention of the special, alcohol or other seasonal items. When the waiter was grabbed for our items, they were kind and quick to address our needs. Accessibility: 3/5 The establishment is on a hill and requires anyone in a wheelchair to have strong muscles or the assistance of another. Once up the hill, there is a step to access the building, and the tables vary from tall / normal height.

Had a wonderful first dining experience at Montano’s last night. My friend and I live in Provincetown and pass it all the time. The staff was absolutely lovely, and the environment is simple but welcoming. The bread, oil, and cheese situation was delicious and a lovely touch. The martinis were well made, but I wish they would get bigger glasses rather than serve the top off pour as every time I topped it off, it spilled a bit from the container. The Caesar salad was actually quite good, but I would skip on the fried mozarella (the sauce tasted of tinned tomatoes). I had the short rib ragu with parpardelle, which was very good, and my friend has the chicken Saltimboca. The dish was good but not traditional Saltimboca as it had olives and mushrooms…prefer the traditional. We left stuffed, and I would definitely recommend and go back.

A truly charming Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful and very family-friendly, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal with loved ones. The food was excellent, full of authentic flavors and clearly made with care—everything we tried was delicious. The service was warm and attentive, which made the experience even better. As a special and memorable touch, I even got to see Santa Claus during our visit! 🎅🏻✨ It added a magical feeling to an already wonderful evening Merry Christmas 🎅🏻🎄 Rossy&Phillip

Nice place and pretty good food. Went there with a large group and they were able to accommodate us no problem. I had a special, steak tips and it was very tasty.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to, and it was such a pleasure finding this gem while on vacation. Ms Sherri was a fantastic waitress and we were able to get her both times we went. Staff is friendly and the food is superb! Best deal is the early bird special you get a salad and bread with your meal. All in all a fantastic experience!

This is the best Italian food on the Cape, friendly fast service. The bolognese is my favorite but the New Haven style pizza is also great. My favorite choices for appetizers are the house salad along with the fried mozzarella. You really can't go wrong with anything here. I look forward to this meal all year long.
